ACWICT drives inclusive digital transformation through data-driven research and multi-country projects focused on gender equity, digital skills, and social inclusion. Digitally Enabled Gender Equity and Social Inclusion (DEGESI)

The DEGESI project advances gender-responsive digital inclusion for marginalized populations across Kenya’s arid and semi-arid counties. Led by ACWICT, it equips over 1.5 million citizens with foundational digital skills, supports smallholder farmers through digital agriculture, and produces actionable knowledge for inclusive policy and practice.

Empowering Communities through Digital Inclusion — Uganda

ACWICT’s Uganda research programme explores pathways to expand digital access, strengthen women’s digital participation, and promote inclusive economic growth. Through partnerships with local stakeholders, the project generates insights to guide national strategies on digital skills, employability, and community resilience.
